Support for multiple instances of the On-premise data gateway on one server

We host data and tabular models for multiple customers on one server. Each need their own tenant with different domains. This in turn requires us to have multiple servers just to host the on-premise data gateway. Would be great to be able to have multiple instances of the on-premise data gateway running on one server. This I imagine would also be useful for testing/preprod deployments in smaller setups where a dedicated server just for the gateway is overkill.

I totally agree with Niels. We're in the exact same position - hosting data in a multitenant setup and having to setup a dedicated VM for each customer just for Power BI gateway, resulting in massive overhead in administration and cost for the end customer.

Same here; we are patching up workarounds for each customer atm, this should and could be a lot easier if you ask me. Hope this will reach a building phase!

It would be nice to have more than one data source on a gateway running on one server.

Please, please, please do this. We are racking lots of VM costs just to run the gateway! Although I suppose it's good for the Azure business 😛

As a very large organization, with tons of companies and thousands of groups within, multi-tenancy is required. We can't make everyone a Data Gateway Admin just to add data sources, and we can't spin up a separate VM for every single company/group that wants isolation/privacy.

Add please It is expensive to keep separate server for each gateway

This is also helpful within an organization to allow us to segregate multiple data source connections from the same server based on the security profile of the data/users.
