The only way to set up a "mailto:" link is using a workaround with Wingdings font on an asterisk (*) in a text box and turning the resulting symbol into a URL. This gives a singular experience for "mailto:" links, does not offer much customization on appearance, and prevents using a tooltip on the "mailto:" link icon as text boxes do not have an option for tooltips.
I was told that the WebURL action currently only supports links starting with "https://." However, using the "mailto:" URL works in the text box URL assignment and if pasted into a browser, so it would stand to reason that putting a "mailto:" measure or value into the WebURL action for buttons and images would execute the same link.
Please update the WebURL action for buttons and images to support "mailto:" links from measures or manual entry into the field.
