Spellcheck is automatically turned on for text boxes, but can't be dismissed

When adding a text box to a report, spellcheck automatically analyzes the contents and highlights words not in it's dictionary with the familiar red squiggle. There is no way to dismiss this squiggle, meaning that the highlighting is always present. There is no way to disable spellcheck via options either.

This appears to still be an issue. When I right click on a "misspelled" word, the only options are group and summarize, but neither is pertinent. I would expect to see at least a basic replacement word / ignore option when right clicking a word that isn't in the dictionary

Is there seriously no way to turn this off? It is of no help, I don't even understand why some words have a line under it, as they are perfectly common words.

Please People in Redmond, do not think that all language is in ENG. Comments are very useful, please remove the red lines if it is not in ENG.....

We really need to be able to ignore or disable this ASAP please. I have a project name that is an acronym and so it's constantly got the red squiggle underneath. It's so annoying

I fail to understand how a relatively modern application is missing so many basic features, or insists on doing some ridiculous workaround.

No ability to turn off spell-check, but also no way to add "custom" words to the dictionary to prevent them being detected as incorrect.

As others have mentioned, a lot of my text includes acronyms, names of servers, DBs, and tables, all of which are not in the dictionary, so my text boxes soon become filled with very, VERY distracting red lines.
