Spellcheck is automatically turned on for text boxes, but can't be dismissed

When adding a text box to a report, spellcheck automatically analyzes the contents and highlights words not in it's dictionary with the familiar red squiggle. There is no way to dismiss this squiggle, meaning that the highlighting is always present. There is no way to disable spellcheck via options either.

This is highly irritating.

Why have it if you can't control it?

This is very annoying as company names show up with a "red" highlight that I cannot fix

Even words that Microsoft Word finds are OK can be flagged as incorrect. It would be nice to be able to either ignore these words, add them to whatever dictionary Power BI is using, or disable spellchecking entirely.

Just FYI, the red squiggle disappears if we move / click on a different page and come back. It also disappears if any filter is clicked on the same page

This is a bad issue as company names will be spell-checked during a live presentation and it takes away from the aesthetics of the dashboard. It is very distracting and should be an easy fix

I came here and added a vote, however Amit's comment below is 100% correct and works. Still blame MS for not making it more obvious though 😉

I agree that we should be able to add names to the dictionary, its very annoying currently because the eye is drawn immediately to the red underscore...
