Show size of uncompressed data in model

If you have too much data in a model, you receive an error refreshing it from the Power BI Service: "The received uncompressed data on the gateway client has exceeded limit." There's a lot of info online about troubleshooting this by shrinking your dataset or removing string values, but no way to see how much data you actually have or how close to the 10GB limit you currently are? Troubleshooting this error involves changing one value, republishing and trying to refresh, seeing if it fails, and if it does then trying another. Ideally, Power BI Desktop would allow us to see the uncompressed data size (overall is good, on each table is even better) so we can adjust our model until it fits. It doesn't need to be exact - I'm okay if Power BI Online and Desktop have slightly different methods to calculate the limit, becuase I just want to know if I have a 50MB overage or a 15GB overage I'm dealing with so I can make appropriate adjustments.
