Set default x axis scrolling position

Enable selection of the default scroll position for the x-axis on a chart. For example, on a line chart with dates as the x-axis, when not all of the data can display in the view at once, the scroll defaults to the beginning/left end of the x-axis and the most recent dates are at the far end causing the end user to always have to scroll to see the most recent data. If you could set the visual to default to the right end, then the user would only have to scroll if they wanted to see more history.

After more than three year asking for, that really should get fixed.

Showing new data at the left end of a time series chart is as counter intuitive as it can get.....

This should have been there from the beginning. Really basic thing to want.

I really hope this will be added soon.

This is a bug!

The default position must be the most recent data and not the old one!

Please fix it!

Please fix this as it is logical to show the data left to right and show the latest data on loading.

This would be a very useful feature to have control over the scroll bar position for charts using dates on the x axis.

I Have many charts with this issue. Is very frustrating for end users to have to always scroll to the right to see latest data, if the user doesnt do this every time they could arrive at incorrect conclusions regarding the data. Also if the page is used in a presentation with live connection to the report they would have to do the scrolling or their audience will see incorrect data also.

I can't believe this is still not an option.

Reversing data so latest data is on the left is not intuitive and will create confusion amongst users.

The more I use Power BI the bigger this issue becomes. A chart should either start by default on the right with the most recent data or this should be provided as an option. It seems like a simple one to fix, please Microsoft !

another vote for this, seems like such a simple request and is important for displaying charts with time on the X axis

Yes you can set axis to continuous, but there are many situations where this won't work
