Repeat row headers in a Power BI matrix while exporting data

Currently it is not possible to repeat row headers in a Power BI matrix while exporting data.

You can repeat row headers Power BI matrix, but not while exporting data.

It is not possible to repeat row headers in a Power BI matrix while exporting data to Excel. When you export data from a matrix visual in Power BI, it exports the underlying raw data without repeating the row headers as they appear in the matrix. This behavior is consistent and by design in Power BI.

The export feature currently does not allow exporting the matrix data exactly as it is displayed in the matrix, especially with repeated row headers. This limitation is often discussed in the Power BI community, where users have expressed frustration with this feature.

It will be helpful, if the PBI Team gives the option to repeat row headers in a Power BI matrix while exporting data.

Please help us in this.

I would also like a solution for this. When exporting the matrix to Excel, selecting "Summarized Data" removes the matrix and puts my column as a row and if I select "Data with Current Layout" all my rows come out merged. I can unmerge the cells but it is not a good customer experience for the user.
