Agreed - if you show the standard presentation (ex. 2014 column, 2015 column and variance column, this Total column sums 2014 and 2015 together. It is very counterintuitive and not useful at all for presentation purposes. There needs to be an option to remove the Total columns. Thanks,

In addition to adding an option to remove a Total; the totals should be descriptive. It should at least tell you what the totals represent based on the Row used in the report. Region Total, Market Total, Grand Total. or if there is a Sub Total, Total, Grand Total to indicate the different levels.

We need this feature as business wants to see SSRS reports in Power BI Grids now and many things can not be displayed the same way.

There are other registered ideas that are almost the same as this one. This uncontrolled idea submitting option is not efficient. I think this is a really important feature but because of the inefficient registration does not get the votes it deserves (now its fragmented). PBI should mimic Excel pivot table functionality as close as possible.

The totals/subtotals in Matrix need urgently to be improved. I showed PowerBI to our business but everyone was suprised by lack of better subtotaling. Need to be able to control subtotals on individual columns (on/off).

Please add the ability to turn off sub-totals at different levels of the Matrix reporting. My users ask for multiple columns in a matrix but they do not want a sub-total for each column. For example they want Customer Number and Customer Name but they only need one total for the customer. Or they want Part Number and Part Description but they only want one total for the part.
