Matrix - Sort columns by value

Matrix currently doesn't allow you to sort the columns based on designating values as being a priority above the column field names. For example, my field in the columns section results in three columns. If you add two sets of values, you are forced to see: Column 1, Value 1, Value 2, Column 2, Value 1, Value 2, etc. Like in a Pivot Table, you should be able to prioritize values so that it shows as: Column 1, Column 2, Column 3, Value 1, Column 1, Column 2, Column 3, Value 2.

A huge limitation

Hi. I'm voting YES to add this feature. I have a matrix with years and metrics (Volume, GP, etc). Once I get to the year/month I want, I need to sort by Volume, GP, etc, to make the report practical and work for my sales reps. (Maybe too low GP, maybe highest Volume, etc). My work around at the moment is enabling export and using Excel to do the job. Not a clean, sustainable or secure way to share the reports. Thanks for listening. Thanks

Really need this to get fixed. Nearly everyone uses years in a matrix visual and need to sort the values by the specific year vs what the Total column says

Required the sort feature on column level data. I have the application data in row wise and environment data in columns, however we dont have the sort functionality on column wise

It is comical that this is not supported. I could not believe when I googled how to do this that it led me to an idea instead of a solution. If I have a column of month names I have no way of sorting the month names into the proper order. I have noticed that Power BI has a habit of not completing basic functionality while adding bells and whistles in their monthly updates. I think Power BI needs to focus on getting core elements completed first and then build on top of that in order to add their flashy features.

Much needed and also the option to custom sort using a field would be very helpful!
