Global filter in dashboards

We don't plan to bring filters to dashboards. We do plan on investing more in composite models to allow multiple sources to be brought into the same report for slicing and filtering.

Please consider the sync filter in dashboards. Without it the dashboard function is useless to me for 50 % of my customers

Really interested in seeing this functionality added to Dashboards. There are so many instances where being able to tailor a dashboard to an area of focus with dynamic or global filters would be so useful. The current functionality is weak and requires a lot of work to get around. Please make the dashboard tool more relevant. The age of Dashboards is upon us !!!

I am so surprised and disappointed to see this marked as declined. For those of us building dashboards for enormous corporations comprised of many businesses, the ability to filter a dashboard is critical.

Without that ability to filter, we are forced to create countless copies of reports and to re-use visuals over and over again (an administrative nightmare). For example, if we are building a turnover dashboard and want to bring in other relevant data, such as span of layers data and recruiting data, instead of being able to pin visuals from existing spans of layers and recruiting reports, we need to copy and paste them into a Turnover report (both the visual and the associated visual tooltip page) ...and now we need to maintain both sets of identical visuals. This would all be elegantly resolved if we were able to pin visuals from disparate reports and THEN FILTER the dashboard.

It is disappointing to see sync pane not working in the dashboard even pinned individual report page does support filtering. I think it is important in the real world when user keep asking to add filters and sync across reports/dashboards.

The ability to have your CEO filter visuals in a dashboard Saves his/her time. Please consider adding the ability to pin slicers/filters on a dashboard page.
