Drill-down should drill or cross-filter other visualizations on the page

I have a report page with multiple charts and visualizations. Let's say one of the chart shows Sales by Year and I drill down into 2013 to see the sales by month in 2013. Currently, the drill-down has no effect on the other charts and visualizations on the page; they still show data for all years, not just for 2013. Instead, I'd like other charts to drill down into 2013 or filter by 2013 as well.

Hey Will I got your December update. I can make the functionality work but can't upload to my reporting server. I get an error. Which version of report server is this compatible with ? any?

Are there any plans to include this feature in dashboards?

Hi Will, love the focus in this area. I agree with Anish - a really key enhancement to this functionality would be: If you have other visuals on the report that share the same axis, it would be a great user experience if you could enable drill up/down simultaneously.

It's not really working as expected. Lets say I have 3 levels of time grains (1 day, 1 hour, 15 minutes). Drilling down in one of the charts, from 1-day to 1-hour --> does apply the time filter, but not making the actual "Drill down" on other charts... The other charts end up having one data point because the filter filters data from a single hour, but presents it in 1 day time grain.

Hi for those asking for the 2nd visual to drill down as well, please vote this idea: https://ideas.powerbi.com/forums/265200-power-bi-ideas/suggestions/32816557-consecutive-drilling-in-reports Thanks!

If I have a matrix and I want to select multiple rows to drill down on simultaneously to the next level how do I do that with this feature? As an example: Filter by 3 out of ten items on the first level and then move to the next level (which is filtered to only results pertaining to the 3 items chosen on the first level) to chose from and then select a few rows out of many from the next level and move to the next level from there and it should show a filtered view of the data from the choices from each level of the matrix for all the visuals on the page.

Hi Will, thanks for the comment. I do have an issue with the feature "Drilling filters other visuals". I have a bar chart with 2 levels of drilling. When I click on the top level, all other visuals & KPI's get filtered, that's OK. However, when I click on any 2nd level item in the bar chart now, nothing happens to other visuals & KPI's. Grateful if you could please advise on the above at your earliest convenience. Thanks in advance! Yogesh
