Data Labels has conditional formatting options for Color but not for displaying units. Conditional formatting for data labels would be an easy win to improve readability.
This problem is clear on a Clustered Bar Graph. In a recent example, I had values ranging from 40 to 6,000. The auto units put everything in 1,000's which left bars on the graph with color and a data label of 0.0K. Some bars should be in thousands (ie. 4.2k is better than 4,232) and some values should be in raw units (ie. 41 is better than 0.0k).
Should be an easy fix. Use the same logic from Color conditional formatting and add it to units or add fx to "Apply settings to" in format section of data labels.
