Allow copy and paste between different PBIX's

Often we need to expand on an idea from one report further and copy and paste visuals/pages from one PBIX to another. This would be a huge productivity and quality benefit.

i have multiple instances of pbix (different version of data with same structure) and really would like to be able to copy/past/switch data source on the fly, that will be such a good news that they have someone working on it!

My team is struggling with this issue - as we have numerous text boxes and other non-data related items in our reports (lines, boxes etc) that we want to use as a standard across all reports. Without being able to copy and paste this is taking us hours so we look forward to this new capability!!

Work around- Create a PBIX with all the standard items you want on it. This is what I am doing in the meantime, there's many ways around not being able to copy and paste from one report to the other. Although I agree this would be an appreciated update especially on the PBIX RS version not just the PR version.

Great that this is started ... Thanks a lot. As we just started a bigger project for one of our clients: Any chance that this new feature will be published within 2018?

There are multiple versions of Power BI Desktop I want to know if this will be included in the report server version Power BI on its next release. Because the report server version is missing all kinds of newly added features.

Using copy + paste heavily this morning, saving me hours of time re-organizing a client's large set of PBIX files which (not) surprisingly connect to an inconsistent set of data sources. Very impressive advance, running just ahead of new Matrix pivot-table-ish functions.
