Power BI Team: "Soon we will allow you to discover and use a dataset across workspaces. Once we have this capability, we believe much of the need for multiple apps per workspace will be addressed." Now the capability is there we can create reports using the service but not in PBI desktop using the live connection as it will only publish to the original datasets workspace. Adding the capability to publish shared dataset reports would enable desktop features such as copy and pasting visuals from one report to another.
