Anyone else having issues connecting to the service? I checked the status page and it says it's alright, but nothing is coming up for me in several different browsers....
Solved! Go to Solution.
I talked with support but it was front line support in India. Hopefully they escalate it but they were able to access the service from within the MSFT network so it must be an external thing. The lack of response on the support page is infuriating, I have nothing to tell my customer. Monday's are very important for access to data as I am sure it is for a lot of other customers.
Pathetic response. They should hope that I don't get surveyed. Case owner responded with this when I asked for a reason for the outage that I could pass along to my customer. Good to see PSS still lives on.
I got an update from Technical team, they said there no any technical reason behind this and service is auto recovered after 15min.
Look in the Azure Portal > Help + Support > Service Health > Health History
You'll see this: https://app.azure.com/h/YY0R-NS8/cac294
Thats not going to show health history for the Power BI service, I just see embedded. I also don't see any outages.
Interestingly enough, inside the Microsoft network, everything was fine. That means that any service monitoring done inside the network would not show a problem (score!) even though we (customers) all could not get to it from the outside.
One would hope that their monitoring would include external monitoring from external sources but considering support had no idea that it was down, I am not that hopeful.
My data set usually takes 45minutes to refresh. Its up to 1.5hrs now. I kicked it off right after the system came online so I am hoping that its just the surge of traffic when the system came back online. Thought I could relax a bit but, yay Monday!!
I noted the service down at 8:00am PST, my customer at 8:04am PST. I saw it back up at 9:11am PST.
This outage note appeared and then disappeared on the Power BI service page:
I just got in at 11:11am CST
I wonder what happened
Based upon forum threads and our internal use, it looks like the outage was from 8:21 AM to 9:14 AM USA Pacific Time.
Related thread: Power BI Service and Desktop are down
The Power BI Support page has been showing "No known issues: Power BI is running smoothly"
Looks like we're back up and running here.
I would recommend that everyone open a ticket. Support response seems really sluggish.
Probably don't need another confirmation but - same.

Sounds good. Guess we'll wait and see.
BTW, we're now getting Refresh failed alerts for our datasets so it seems to be more than just a connection issue.
Agree
Yes, I am having the same issue. started about 20 minutes ago.
Also...why is the error page an Owl who got his/her a** kicked?
Seems like an odd image.
Same. Outage page says there are no problems but its been down something like 30 minutes.
So who wants to open the ticket ?
