I have a field Received_Time in my Data Model. This field is defined as a data type Time. When I look in Power Pivot, I see the two extra fields below and when I drag in Received_Time into Power Pivot these two extra fields are always included and I have to delete. How come there are these two extra fields and how can I get rid of them
EST_Time(Hour)
EST_Time(Minute)
Thanks.

This is a "helper" feature in Power Pivot. It isn't really extra fields. It is creating an heirarchy. You will see the same with date - you'll see Year, Month, Day.
See if you can disable it in Excel's options, Data section. This is not a beloved feature, and Power BI Desktop doesn't do this.
DAX is for Analysis. Power Query is for Data Modeling
