I edited a user's paginated report subscription in a premium workspace to remove the subscription end date. I didn't "take over" the subscription or otherwise modify it. Saved the subscription, made sure it was enabled (the user received a notification that I'd made these modifications to their subscription), and then the user gets an email notification from the service when I run the subscription, saying they're only a viewer in the workspace and can only subscribe themselves, not others. The subscription then turns itself off.
Am I *forced* to take over the subscription to make this simple change for a user?
Hi @MarkPalmberg ,
Users assigned the Admin role in a workspace can view all subscriptions created for a Power BI report, dashboard, or paginated report in that workspace, regardless of whether they are the owner. Information about the subscription name, owner, report or dashboard name, and content type is provided. Workspace admins can also edit and take over subscriptions owned by others. So the workspace admin role can edit subscriptions without taking over.
If you create a subscription that includes additional content, in addition to a Power BI Pro or Premium Per User (PPU) license, or access to a workspace powered by Power BI Premium capacity, you also need:
• A Pro or PPU license with a Contributor, Member, or Admin role in the workspace.
• Be a member of the organization.
• If the report or dashboard is not hosted in a Premium capacity, you can still subscribe to it for others. However, they must also have a Power BI Pro or Premium Per User (PPU) license.
In addition, when subscribing to paginated reports, B2B guest users can only create subscriptions for themselves. More details can be found in the documentation: Email subscriptions for reports and dashboards in the Power BI service - Power BI | Microsoft Learn

Thanks for the reply, @v-kaiyue-msft . So according to this bit:
Workspace admins can also edit and take over subscriptions owned by others. So the workspace admin role can edit subscriptions without taking over.
Sounds like I should be able to do what I'm doing without the user getting errors. It looks like, in addition to the subscription turning itself off, it's not saving the change I made, which is removing the End date from the subscription; it's back to the pre-edit value:
I wonder if this has something to do with the fact that I'm an admin on this workspace via an Exchange 365 group and am not listed individually...though I'm still able to do admin tasks in the workspace, obviously, so....
