Hi @Nidhiexl09 ,
Hi,
Since you're using a Pro license, you're limited to a 1 GB dataset size for import mode in Power BI Service. To handle large data volumes and ensure successful refreshes, you can consider a few approaches.
First, optimize your data model by removing unnecessary columns, reducing cardinality, and using proper data types. Second, consider switching from Import mode to DirectQuery or a hybrid model using Composite Models, which can help keep the dataset within limits by querying the source directly.
Alternatively, you can partition your data using parameters or incremental refresh (if your data source supports it), though incremental refresh is only available with a Premium or PPU (Premium Per User) license. If upgrading to Premium is an option, it would give you a much higher storage limit and additional features to handle large datasets efficiently.

Hello @Nidhiexl09
Thank you for reaching out to the Microsoft Community Forum.
With a Power BI Pro license, the dataset size is limited to 1 GB in the Power BI Service. Instead of using import mode, consider creating a Dataflow to clean, filter, and aggregate data before loading it into the report for better optimization of data processing and reducing the dataset size.
Additionally, upgrading to Power BI Premium Per User (PPU) or Premium Capacity would provide a higher dataset size limit up to 100 GB per dataset with PPU and up to 400 GB per dataset with Premium Capacity (depending on SKU) allowing for better scalability and performance as suggested by @rohit1991 .
If my response has resolved your query, please mark it as the Accepted Solution to assist others. Additionally, a 'Kudos' would be appreciated if you found my response helpful.
Thank you!
