Handling TimeZone Conversions

Hey all,

I was having an issue with data saved in our SQL Database in UTC time.  We were trying to determine when schedule tasks were running most frequently, but the chart was obviously wrong from what we knew about the data:

I didn't want to apply a blanket offset of -6 or -5 (I'm in US Central Timezone) becuase, depending on daylight saving it could be one or the other.

I searched quite a bit, but eventually found the easiest solution right in the Query Editor.  My data was stored as 'DateTime' so I changed the type to Date/Time/Timezone.

Then in the 'Transform' tab I simply clicked on 'Time' in the toolbar and choose 'Local Time'.

Power Query automatically applied the correct offset and my chart looked much better!

Hope this helps someone else out there~!
