get gateways as admin - REST API using Service Principal

Currently available:

Gateways - Get Gateways - REST API (Power BI Power BI REST APIs) | Microsoft Docs
both requiring
Returns a list of gateways for which the user is an admin.
Note: This API requires gateway admin permissions.

This does not work for Service Principal Accounts

Require - Delegated permissions for the Service Principal method to expose data.

Want to monitor the Gateway(s) for version updates etc at the tenancy admin level
