T-SQL Notebooks for Warehouse

With notebook based code picking up significant adoption off late, and multiple competitor products offering similar interface, adding support for T-SQL notebooks unlocks a host of possibilities.

• T-SQL notebooks could help make code easily understandable and maintainable (usage of markdown etc.) as against maintaining same through SQL script files or Queries.
• Uniformity amongst Spark and SQL based code base.
• Modularity: Temporary views/ functions can be put inside single notebook and referenced from other notebooks.
• Promote reusability via cross warehouse usage.
• Orchestration possible through Data factory.
• With Git integration in Spark/SQL notebooks CI/CD is seamless.
