SharePoint List Data Source - Connection Query.

We have a number of lists with over 100,000 rows. Is it possible to modify the connection string so that only a subset of the data is pulled into the model? It could be done with the Power Query connection or the odata - I don't care which. But I need to restrict the rows and columns imported into the model. OR, the ability to reference a VIEW on a SharePoint list might even be better/easier.
