Multi-line column headers for tables with word wrap

There are a lot of excel formatting features that would be nice in Power BI but at the top of my list is word wrapping for long column heading names. For example, Proposed Fund Purchase Price would wrap to |Proposed Fund | |Purchase Price | | $120,000| because the data in that column would fit nicely under that text and I could fit more columns on my table.

I'm not sure why this has been categorized under Custom Visuals - I think it refers to the built-in table object?

Actually AFAIK Excel doesn't do this - it would automatically widen such a table column to the full width of the column heading. In Excel you can manually set the width and manually set the column headings to wrap. This may be "too hard" and not worth working on - I imagine it would take a lot of coding to judge when to wrap and how wide to make the column. Perhaps manual column width and wrapping controls are a more realistic ask?

I think that this is a duplicate request. - See https://ideas.powerbi.com/forums/265200-power-bi/suggestions/6700612-text-wrap-in-tables-cards-etc-in-dashboards

It is not always necessary to use abbreviations in the column. Therefore we need an analogue "wrap text" in Excel (and change row height)

This is a critical and simple feature to allow the headers to be wrapped based on the table width defined by the user.

Just checked - there is a word-wrap feature for column headings (Nov 2018 PBI Desktop).
