Make filters that can apply across all pages in a report

Currently you can set a filter that applies to an individual chart, or at a page/view level. You should also be able to make a filter apply across all the pages/views in a report.

These report filters dont seem to save properly in Online editor. They are gone when you return to reading view after viewing another report.

'@will thompson. When ever I leave the report and come back these filter options have reset. Is this intended?

They disappear when I leave the report. I have to re-add them in order to actually view the report. this is almost no better than having to apply them to every page. At least the page level filters "took" when you applied them. 😞

Nice! However, is it possible to connect a slicer to a global report filter? E.g. you select a particular item on the first page in a slicer and see more details on the second page. I'm looking to some interactivity from an analytical perspective.

That is really good news. Is this available only in Power BI Online and not in Power BI Desktop though? Do they follow separate release cycles? I thought all features in the online version are replicated in the Desktop version as well in parallel. Isn't that the case?

I create and edit reports in the power BI portal, and the Report level filtersare gone when the report is reopened. I´ve tried repeatedly, to make sure that I did not forget to save my changes.

we can create filter to all charts in the report but not to all pages....if this function of filter to all pages is enabled....can you please let know how it is woking.

Will, can you comment back on what the status of this issue really is. The report filter when used on the Power BI Desktop tool only filters at the page level not across report pages.
