How to remove unused visual columns from model data.

Step 1: Have one list containing columns added to all visuals tracked.

  • Date
  • Document No.
  • Product Code
  • Qty
  • Customer No.
  • Customer
  • Customer Email
  • Phone
  • External Document No.

 

Step 2: Have another list containing all of the columns of the model data tracked (separately to the first list).

  • (Everything from the above list - ticked)
  • (Everything not added to a visual - not ticked)


Step 3: Go to Home tab, then in the Queries section, click on Transform Data.

Step 4: Go to Home tab, then in Manage Columns section, click on Remove columns not used in visuals (name pending)

Columns to remove:
  • Date
  • Document No.
  • Product Code
  • Qty
  • Customer No.
  • Customer
  • Customer Email
  • Phone
  • External Document No.
  • (Everything else)
    • May refer to the existing remove other columns feature.
    • However, the chosen selected columns to keep are found on here / Step 2.
