Dynamic row-level security for Power BI Report Server

Power BI Desktop (optimized for Report Server) allows you to define roles with DAX filters. However, when reports are published to the Report Server, there is no way to assign these roles to specific users/groups, so we can't yet implement row-level security on the Report Server. It would be great it Report Server was able to support dynamic row-level security similar to the Power BI Service.

yes this is a important feature for many companies. if this is not available we will have to use Tableau which have the feature in their service version

Would be waiting for this @Riccardo Multi... 2. Within your Power BI report. You can define the roles and filters in Power BI Desktop, but can’t yet assign users/groups to these roles in Power BI Report Server. Rest assured we plan to address this gap as soon as we can. Hi Riccardo! I set the variable USERNAME () in the role, but aparently is not only a gap for asigning users to roles, but the role DAX engine is not working at all right now. The USERNAME () in report server returns the current user
