Developer mode for live connection support in Fabric doesn't work

An odd behavior exists when syncing Power BI reports with a live connection to a workspace.

In short, When I sync a report with a live connection to a Workspace, all tables are converted to Import mode.

I experienced this with an existing report, and I can reproduce it with a brand-new report.

This seems to be a Preview "Feature".

Please look into it and correct it, as I'm forced to manually publish my reports instead of using Git integration to update my workspace.
