I am trying to share a dashboard with an external user who has a Pro license. The user can see the dashboard tiles but the tiles display no data. Clicking through to the underlying report generates the following error. Users inside my organisation can see the dashboard data fine. Underlying model is built from SQL Azure.
Does the external user have permission to the data?
Hi @tim2sms,
i'm not an expert in this area, but pretty sure that Power BI will allow you to share before it checks if that person has permissions. It's when the external colleague tries to open PBI and view the data that Power BI checks to see if that person has permissions to see the data.

Yes, I shared the dashboard with the external user, who has a Pro license.
@tim2sms Sounds like your using import, so end user permissions aren't an issue because they would essentially see the same as you. DId you share the dashboard prior to them having logged in to Power BI for the first time? I've seen issues with sharing to end users that haven't signed up first.
Try un-sharing and re-sharing the dashboard.
Azure SQL query that runs midnight, 8am, 12 noon, 4pm and 8pm daily.
Thanks.
