So, we are now in the mid January of 2024 and this is still an issue. All of a sudden header icons just freeze on random visuals. I start getting more and more complaints from my clients. Come Microsoft pull it together.

Hi,
I've got the same problem and it appeared just a few days ago.
Without clicking on any of the visuals one of the visuals is showing header icon:

Hi @ShaikAzeem ,

  • In Power BI Desktop you can turn off visual headers globally for a file in Options and Settings / Options / Current File / Report Settings / Visual Options section. IF you turn off visual headers there, then they are off, all and for every visual, no exceptions.
  • Otherwise, you can turn off individual icons or all header icons per visual in the Properties section of the visual formatting settings. Attention: turning off all individual visual header icons but keeping the main visual headers swith on keeps the copy as image icon active. So if want to turn all icons off, turn off the main header icons switch.
  • If you are struggeling with picking each visual that should have no header icons to turn them off, I'd recommend to open the selection pane from menu View / Selection. There you can click through all visuals one by one and then go to the formatting pane to turn off header icons as needed.

Hello @Martin_D ,

Thank you so much for your response.

As per your suggestions,if  I turned off header icons from desktop or from service its working fine but when select the visual or onhover on the visual header icons are not showing.

As per my requirement visual should not show the header icons without selecting the visual, when you select the visual or on hover on the visual it should the header icons.

For my issue after publishing the report, one of the visual is showing header icons automatically without selecting that visual or on hovering.

Meanwhile I've heart several people reporting this issue, including people saying their report used to work formely. So I assume it's a bug that only Microsoft developers can fix. I'd suggest you report the issue to Microsoft support.

If you are a Power BI Pro (or above) licensee, you can create a support ticket for free.

It would be great if you continue to share in this issue to help others with similar problems after you know the solution.
