Usage metrics of Excel Info Retriever utilizing "Analyze in Excel" function

So I utilized the "Analyze in Excel" function in Service to build a live Excel file that gets distributed to multiple users. Is there a way to know how many of them have been retrieving data from the Power BI online datasets (by clicking refresh in their local excel file) ? I know about the Usage metrics within Service for Dashboard/Report usage but don't see anything related to what I need. Thanks!

Hi @YunNC

You would need to use the data from the Power BI Activity log to find this information.

you can get this data either via the Office 365 Usage metrics or via the Power BI REST APIs. This only keeps 60 or 90 days worth of logs. You should chat to your Office 365 Admin who is hopefully keeping a store of the logs.
