Report fails with PBI Gateway using service account as Data Source creds.

We have a couple of reports PBI that use the data gateway to pull from on prem.  The data sources are configured using a service account which when refreshes shows "Online"/Success.  On app.powerbi.com the data source for the report shows that it refreshes as well.  When I go to the actual report it gives and error that "the report couldn't access the data source".  If I go to the PBI Gateway and update the data source (that shows online) with my personal credentials, the report then works fine.  I'm trying to find additional logs I can look for errors in or any top of mind suggestions to check?

Hi @TheNItzel

Is your report using DirectQuery?

It sounds like it is because it works with your credentials but not with the service account.

Depending on your data source you have to make sure that either the Service account has got the access or needs to have Single Sign on Access (SSO) enabled.
