Hi,
As an admin I will subscribe more than 30 people to daily emails. These users have their content via an APP and also the dataset available in Excel. Is it best practice to subscribe these people from the APP or from the report in the workspace? And what is the difference?

Hi @KasperJ90 ,
The app cannot be subscribed. The subscription function is for the report and dashboard of PBI, so we recommend that you use the subscription function for the report to add these users to test.

App is a collection of content in a workspace of PBI, including all reports, dashboards, workbooks, etc.

Hi @KasperJ90 ,
As far as I know, the content in Apps will be updated in real time as the content in the workspace is updated, and the subscription function you mentioned is currently for reports or dashboards in Power BI, you cannot set subscriptions for apps, but you can push Apps automatically for end user by turning on "Install App" option。

Hi @Anonymous
Thank you for your reply. If I enter the shared app in my browser I can press "subscribe" and get the same possiblity as if I pressed "subscribe" under the report in my workspace?
That is why I do not understand how come I should not subscribe people here instead of in the workspace report. If people are using the app, but subscriped to the report from the workspace, I have to make sure that the app is always updated with the report in the workspace.
