Hi Power BI Community,
I need some help to A confirm that the following pattern should work (i.e. Pro user can consum report through the App) and B (if yes to A), understanding why it doesn't work despite the fact that accesses to both workspaces have been granted.
I'm using the following pattern to publish my App:
i.e. Publish a dataset on a Premium workspace, create reports in a pbix live connected to the previous dataset and publish it in a Pro workspace and then create an App from this same Pro Workspace to allow Pro Users to consum the information.
This scheme was working so far (unless I was missing something this whole time) but now it does not seem to work.
When trying to access the application Pro users receive the message here below despite the fact that access have been granted.
According to the Microsoft documentation this pattern should work.
Thanks in advance for your support.

Hi @Anonymous ,
If it is convenient, can you tell me what type of premium capacity your workspace is, is it PPU or Premium capacity? Because as far as I know, Pro users cannot access the content in the PPU capacity workspace, but can access the content in the Premium capacity workspace

Hi @Anonymous ,
you are correct. My post referred to artefacts in Premium Per User workspaces.
I didn't read your thread correctly: If you have published your stuff in a workspace that is backed by a premium capacity, then this should work.

Hi @Anonymous ,
You can try to go to the dataset to see if you have added permission for the user, if not give him at least read permission.
select the workspace -- select the data set -- click 3 dots at the end of the data set -- Manage Permissions -- Add your user to the dataset and assign them the role as "Read".

Thanks @Anonymous for your reply, permissions were already granted to the users.
What I don't understand is that, according to my understanding the purpose of Apps was to be able to share content to a broader audience who do not necessarly need to have the Premium licence.
I got this following information from the MS documentation, so all Pro users should be able to access, correct?
To create or update an app, you need a Power BI Pro or Premium Per User (PPU) license. For app consumers, there are two options.
Hi @Anonymous ,
this shouldn't work. Once an artefact is in Premium, it can only be used by users with Premium licenses.

Thanks for your reply @ImkeF, but I though that one of the purpose of Apps (among others) was to allow non premium users to consum content. All my audience is running on an MS E5 Licence so they should be able to access the app, aren't they?
The extract here below taken from the MS documentation seems to confirm this hypothesis:
To create or update an app, you need a Power BI Pro or Premium Per User (PPU) license. For app consumers, there are two options.
