Hello community,
We are facing a challenge and your inputs would be valuable.
Our current architecture involves a Snowflake database and premium power bi services.
We are defining a security (RLS) table in snowflake to be used in power bi as a generic service.
This table starts to be huge (150 millions lines) and so we raise the question: is there any option between snowflake and power bi to deploy to increase performances and reduce the dataset?
Thank you
How many users? How many rows in the RLS table per user?
We have around 500 users securing at maximum 45k rows by month by user.
The current RSL table is about 200 millions rows.
we have 3 years of data so at max for an user having full access rights he has 1,5 millions rows in the dataset.
Do you have to apply RLS at such a granular level or can you push it up into a parent dimension table?
If you have recently started exploring Fabric, we'd love to hear how it's going. Your feedback can help with product improvements.
