Sharing data sets to groups

We are looking for a way to share data sets so other groups within our org can create their own reports/dashboards with the data.

Sharing content packs with datasets/reports/dashbaords seems to only grant read only rights to groups.

@bhill If you've got content pack shared with dataset/report/dashboard (either to specific group or whole organisation) they can take that content pack but can't edit it. But if users make a copy of it so Get content pack -> Make of copy of content pack contents -> and that lets them edit those reports / dashboards or create new one.

But will the copy of the copy of data set update when the original one gets update?

Hi @bhill,

The copy of the dataset will update when the original one gets update. 

I have teseted it on my local environment, I created a content pack and chare it to my colleague. He used it to create a report based on the dataset on that content pack. The report dataset will update by clicking the REFRESH button when the original data updated.
