Salesforce not refreshing

I'm having problems with Salesforce not refreshing when it's within powerBI service, even if we try manually. When we're using desktop it refreshes no problem but then as soon as we publish, it won't refresh. It is giving a credentials error, we've tried everything. Any ideas welcome

Hi @Dawn0307 were you able to find a solution? I don't know why you are having such problem but I connect my SF data to PBI using a 3rd party connector and I haven't had any problem so far, even when refreshing my report on Power Service. As a workaround, maybe you can try with that option. I've tried windsor.ai, supermetrics and funnel.io. I stayed with windsor because it is much cheaper so just to let you know other options. In case you wonder, to make the connection first search for the Salesforce connector in the data sources list:

After that, just grant access to your Salesforce account using your credentials, then on preview and destination page you will see a preview of your Salesforce fields:

There just select the fields you need. It is also compatible with custom fields and custom objects, so you'll be able to export them through windsor.  Finally, just select PBI as your data destination and finally just copy and paste the url on PBI --> Get Data --> Web --> Paste the url.

Hi @Dawn0307 ,

Need more information, have you configured on-premises data gateway? Can you show the error message to us?

Before you refresh dataset in Power BI Service, make sure you have installed and configured on-premises gateway and added the data source to the gateway.

Hi @Anonymous

Here's the snapshot, it's doing this for every salesforce refresh.

"The credentials provided for the Salesforce source are invalid. (Source at https://login.salesforce.com/.) Table: Last two years - all sales."

Until end of Jan all of these were working fine and connecting directly to salesforce. We can't add them to our enterprise gateway as the option isn't there to do this as they are a direct connect. When we refresh them on the desktop they work fine, but then as soon as we publish them and try to refresh in Power BI Service they come up with this error. I have tried multiple reports, those using salesforce reports and salesforce objects and none of them will refresh. I have edited credentials and it allows me to set up the refresh, but just won't work due to credentials. This is the same error for all reports.

Really can't find anything that has changed?
