Hi,
I have finally got an on-prem gateway working, which is sucessfully refreshing a dataset. I have created a report using this dataset, that all works. I've set up an email that goes out every day with that report.
On the weekend the emails were all wrong, the report was essentially broken (it looks at 'todays' data). Looking today, the dataset was fine, and current. But the report was still false. I had to click a refresh button within the report in order to reload the dataset. Why is this not automatic - and how to I make it automatic?

No you don't need the report to auto refresh.

I don't understand the replies. The path is:
(Dataset) -> (Report) -> (Scheduled Email)
This whole process needs to be automatic. The Dataset auto refreshes every day at 7am. Do I not need the report to auto refresh also?
No you don't need the report to auto refresh.

I think I found the problem, in that the report was scheduled to be sent before the data existed (I got the timings wrong). Thank you!

How did you set the sent emails? Through subscriptions in the service! If so and if the reports were not up to date then the refresh and the gateway had not accured. Check out the refresh history of the gateway.

This is because when the report page loads it loads from a cache. You either have to interact with the report or click the refresh button to see the latest data.
When sending out the emails they should show the updated data.
