When I try to refresh a Redshift dataset in the service I get the following error:

My Redshift instance has locked down access such that only certain IP addresses are allowed to connect to it. I looked, but couldn't find a list of Power BI Service specific addresses to allow. I did find the Azure IP addresses but that seems like I'd be opening up the Redshift instance to all Azure traffic.
Does anyone have any advice about refreshing a Redshift dataset that does not involve opening up the instance completely?
It may also be possible that the error above has noting to do with that, I just assumed so.
Any advice is highly appreciated!
Solved! Go to Solution.
I've not been able to get the Redshift connector to refresh in the Power BI service. I've gone back to the ODBC connector and that works.
I see that Redshift is now supported for refresh in the Power BI Service:
I can confirm that it works on my database. Great!
Any updates on when the auto refresh for RedShift will be fixed?

Guys I do NOT believe MS has delivered the ability to refresh from the BI Service from Redshift. They only currently offer it (in Preview) for the desktop application. My last contact with someone on the PBI support side said end of 2016 but I have not seen this. Do you have a different understanding.
thanks
This solution is hanging. The Redshift connector was announced here
https://powerbi.microsoft.com/en-us/documentation/powerbi-desktop-connect-redshift/
https://powerbi.microsoft.com/en-us/blog/building-power-bi-reports-on-top-of-amazon-redshift-data/
This last article, dated Aug 1 2016, said the Redshift connector doesn't yet work for "Power BI Gateway or PowerBI.com for refresh scenarios, which will come in the next couple of months."
These threads have essentially the same issue:

It's been six months since "a couple of months" was promised. Any news? This is a big issue for my application, where I need to do scheduled refreshing in the PBI service, just like any other database.
Hello All,
Any update on RedShift Connector for Power BI is supporting Power BI Gateway or PowerBI.com ?
Please share the details, if you have.
Thanks,
John
Is any one able to refresh their Redshift data set in Power Bi Service using the Redshift beta connector?
Hi @paulwozniak,
How do you connect to Amazon Redshift database, with ODBC or Odata?
In order to enable refresh your dataset in Power BI services, you need to connect to Amazon Redshift with OData. OData is a standardized protocol for creating and consuming data APIs. In other words, it’s a standard for providing access to data over the Internet in real-time.

I'm connecting using the Amazon Redshift data source which is in beta right now. Are you saying that this dedicated data source will not work with the refresh in the Power BI service?
