REST api support for DAX

Hi All,

I recently saw a post in the PowerBI blog announcing "PowerBI REST API support for DAX" as below available for public preview :

https://powerbi.microsoft.com/en-us/blog/announcing-the-public-preview-of-power-bi-rest-api-support-...

I am confused because i see a MSFT document which doesnt say it in preview ,so does it mean this is GA?

https://docs.microsoft.com/en-us/rest/api/power-bi/datasets/execute-queries

Can someone please confirm .I would like to make use of this and make the dev and at some point move to prod.

Thanks Gilbert.

Is it still ok to start using the functionality and rely on feature while it is in preview?

This is very much needed for the use case i have in my company.

The API has been in Preview since last year. The update to the public docs came a bit later to specify that. But it is supposed to GA in a few short months 🙂

Hi @Anonymous

As far as I know that it is still in preview and the MSFT document just ommited or left out that it is still in preview.

There will always be an annoucement when it goes from Preview to GA.

Hi @Anonymous

I typically use the features when in preview. The main difference between preview and GA is that in preview it is not fully supported.

I am starting to use this where I am consulting.
