I need to create a lot of dataflows (100+) and if possible I would like to automate as much of this processe as possible.
I know you can create a dataflow from json, but this requires exporting it from an existing dataflow.
My question is can I generate the JSON myself, save it as a file and import it into a workspace.
Many thanks
Yes? What have you tried and where are you stuck?
Thanks for your reply, I have exported the JSON from an existing dataflow and can write a program to automate the creation of the majority of this.
However I notice that there is a section in the JSON called "pbi mashup" which includes "queryid" for each entity which I cannot automate as this, from what I can see, is generated on creation of the dataflow.
I'd like to create these dataflows from scratch, so how do i pull these ID's in when they dont exist yet?
Hello Rockcliff15,
Do you still look for a way to generate a QueryId ? If not, could you share with us your solution ? I have the same need and issue now...
Thanks !
