Do dataflows use query folding when using incremental refresh?

I don't see the answer in any of the data flow incremental refresh documentation, and I cannot find a place to check if each step keeps the native query, like you can in desktop, so I wanted to confirm before moving forward.

Is a native query even required for dataflow incremental refresh?

That article does not specifiy if dataflows have the same requirements as the incremental refresh setup in the service (query folding).
