Can someone explain to me what the role of an organizational account in accessing a data gateway in another organization's network environment?
Is it possible to access a data gateway from another organization (my client's organization) with my organizational Power BI account?
I have access to the data source, but I'm not sure if I can update the Power BI report using the gateway installed in their network environment.
Thanks 🙂

Hi @Anonymous
The answer is No, you need to belong to their onrganazition. They can add you as an external User and then Take over the controle of the Gateway.

Thanks for your reply,
So if they add me as an external user to access the gateway, they can add me using my organization's Power BI account
or do I need to get a pro license with their organizational account?
@Anonymous
Technically they need to provide you a License as an external user and a Contributer permission to the workspace in order to Take Over the Gateway. like this example.
