@Ramyzo Check out this thread for some good walkthrough of troubleshooting steps -> https://community.powerbi.com/t5/Power-Query/Scheduled-refresh-for-excel-file-with-on-premise-gatewa... It is likely that your path in the Desktop does not match the exact same path that you set up in the gateway. If the file is on your local machine, and so is the gateway, you shouldn't have an issue. Are you an admin on your machine? Does your gateway in the Service show online and ready?
Hi Ramyzo,
Please follow the below steps to configure the data source under the Gateway.
Please follow the above screens and configure the data source to the Gateway (On-Premises).
Go back to the Dataset and try to check with refresh (Refresh Now / Schedule refresh).

@v-diye-msft @venal Exactly ! i follow those steps to add the data source under my gateway and once i click on add i get this error :
DMTS_PublishDatasourceToClusterErrorCode ! does it related to my file path or to an access to the file !
Hello Ramyzo,
Thanks for the response.
Can you please confirm me, where is the Excel file is located (Onedrive / Sharepoint / Local System Folder).
If possible, please share the sample data with the Excel file, So that we can try to re-pro the issue and update.

@Seth_C_Bauer im 100% the path is correct !
c:\dat207x\country population by year.xlsx <== this is the path that was generated automatically when i configure the passerel and in the server it shows online ! is there any other reason for it ! maybe i should add (') to the path ?
@Ramyzo Here is another post with the exact error (way at the end is a solution) -> https://community.powerbi.com/t5/Service/Gateway-Errorcode-DMTS-PublishDatasourceToClusterErrorCode/...
One we didn't ask, is when I am saying local to your machine I mean that this isn't some mapped network drive but your hard drive / Second, is the name. If there are no other sources in the report, and it isn't one of the issues above, I don't know what else I could offer... maybe dig into the log files to see if there is a specific error (don't recall if I suggested that yet)
@Ramyzo Where is your Excel file? On your local computer or somewhere else?
Hi @Ramyzo
You need the data source under the gateway, please refer to the official document:
https://docs.microsoft.com/en-us/power-bi/service-gateway-enterprise-manage-scheduled-refresh
then configure the schedule refresh.
@Ramyzo If you installed the (not personal) gateway, you need to create the data source on the gateway in the Service first before you can schedule a refresh. Have you completed that step?
i guess i didn't do , i upload my data source in the server ?
