Hi all - i have a dashboard uploaded to our enterprise power bi service, that has some data sources set as folders. For my first dashboard, we only had specific file paths and the dashboard is operational and has successful data refreshes occurring as per the refresh schedule. For this second dashboard , we have specific folders to iterate through (having all files of same structure in excel) and is tested to work on the desktop version. However, when i upload to the service, the data refresh is failing every time.
Just to note, the gateway connection is fine as it shows up and when i go to the settings screen, it identifies all the data sources accurately and there are no declared credential issues. When i trigger a refresh , it usually runs for close to 40-50 minutes (which it should not) and then it terminates as a failure. As usual, the failure notification is extremely generic (just shows activity ID, cluster ID), but nothing descripive that would help.
Does anyone know why this error is happening? Would appreciate any ideas on how to troubleshoot this or what the issue may be. My data sources are all "import" connections.

@Anonymous ,
I have made a test but couldn't reproduce your issue, please check if you have configure gataway settings properly.

@Anonymous ,
Have you solved your issue by now? If you have, could you please help mark the correct answer to finish the thread? Your contribution will be much appreciated.

No this has not been resolved with this fix.
Hi @Anonymous , I have a similar setup like you and i do have an issue with the refresh. And keep getting these DM_GWPipeline_Gateway_MashupDataAccessError erros. Any insight into this is helpful?
Hi Aditya -
Not sure what the exact issue was. We ended up moving to using a Sharepoint folder as data source which is probably the best way to do it at the moment.
Thanks,
Srini

This is not a solution... i spoke with Microsoft support but no one was able to triage what the exact issue was.
Hi @v-yuta-msft -
We have set this up the same way, but our folder has about 4-5 files. As it loops through, the service throws a failure error after 30-40 minutes of running. There is no specific error thrown that would indicate why this is happening. The gateway settings are setup properly, if not it would not recognize he data sources in the first place.
