Import -> DirectQuery

Hi,
I am creating a report in which I have:
1. TableA - database table (Storage Mode: DirectQuery)
2. TableB - a table created inside Power BI Dekstop via "Enter data" option (content pasted from Excel). Storage Mode: Import.
This table has fixed values, it will never be updated.

After publishing the report on app.powerbi.com, I noticed that Connectivity Mode is Import, which results in TableA data not being refreshed live.
I can of course set a refresh every 15 minutes, but I don't want that.

Is it possible to change Connectivity Mode to DirectQuery in the report published on app.powerbi.com? Or is it possible to set some option in the report in Power BI Desktop (or TableB to be exact) to have DirectQuery in the report after publishing?

Hi, @Anonymous ;

In addition, This blog haved mentioned :

Due to many features in Import mode is not supported in the Direct Query mode, it’s not possible to switch from Import Mode to Direct Query Mode

If your report includes import and DQ, it will become mixed mode.

@collinq, thank you for the suggestion.
But when I click on the sprocket next to the source (in Applied Steps) I don't have the option to change from Import to DirectQuery. Instead, I have a "Create Table" window where I can edit the table values.
Also when I click on the Model tab on the left and then on Properties -> Advanced I cannot change the Storage Mode of this table, because the "DirectQuery" and "Dual" options are grayed out.

@v-yalanwu-msft, thanks for the links.

Hi @Anonymous ,

If you go to QUery Editor, select the query on the left side of the screen that you want to modify and then on the right side, click on the sprocket/gear next to the Source and then you will have the option to change from Import to DirectQuery.
