Hello,
I seem to be missing something basic here. I have a report where the gateway is inorrectly configured. My gateway is configured correctly and is online.
I know from my last experience with this same issue that the datasources on the report in my desktop app and the datasorce configured for my gateway need to match exactly. I do know how to check that and have. So I think I know the source of my problem - I just can't seem to figure out how to fix it.
The gateway is in use for many other reports using the same datasource.
The report that I built in the desktop app has a datasource like servername.organization.edu
The gateway for the semantic model for the report is showing up as just servername.
I tried Add to Gateway / New Connection and made a new connection with the full server name, but I'm still unable to select that new connection from the semantic model settings. I'd rather just use my existing connection anyway.
Here are the settings for another report using the same gateway and data source.
I'm also wondering why the Cluster name is in the "gateway" column. How does that make sense?
Here are my Configured connections. The one in red is working for several other reports. The new one I just created and can't seem to use - would rather remove it if I can get the first one to work here.
Thank you in advance for any help or tips!
Sarah

Simple "fix" - click the "Add to gateway" link and configure the credentials.
Correct fix is to modify the M code in Power BI Desktop to get the data source in sync with the gateway.
