Error Message when viewing shared report

We have a user that is viewing a shared report and is getting the following message:

"That shared report view isn't available.

We couldn't  load the sender's customized view of the report (filters, etc.) because it has expired. You're viewing the report's default view. "

I have been unable to find any other documentation on this error message. Any insight would be appreciated.

Hi, @CNRey7

The root reason for this error is that the customized view you shared has expired. When you click on the “Include my change” in the sharing report page, Power BI will generate a 90-day customized view link. You can share the report again and share the new link to the end-user so that he can view the report in the customized view again.

Hi @CNRey7 ,

There could be a few different reasons for this.  if you shared the report with current view and it had a filter in there that the shared to user doesn't have security rights to use, then that user might get an error.  Or, if you shared the URL, they expire after 90 days.  If you are using live mode, the user would need to confirm that their credentials are mapping correctly.  Or, do you have RLS turned on?

I would appreciate Kudos if my response was helpful. I would also appreciate it if you would Mark this As a Solution if it solved the problem. Thanks!

@Coll

you are absolutely right. I have the same issues when I try to access my connected report from a scorecard metric (report value was set as value in the metric)

The same thing happened approx. 3 month ago - now I get why: the connection between the metric and the report is only valid fpr 90 days. then it expired (but not visibly for me as a scorecard user and admin)

Do you have an idea how I could prolong each connection (without having to edit and re-select the report in each metric?)
