Different reporting

Hi All,

My company has prepared a pbix file which does some global general reporting. This file is currently located in a premium workspace on power bi online as well as a "testing environment" (2nd premium)

Some countries f.x. US, France and Poland are expected to have different reporting needs from the general report.

What makes most sense, to create a duplicate report, which can be customized by any stakeholder which has custom reporting needs

(one duplicate for US, another for France, etc) or does it make more sense to create visualizations on separate pages within the main report document (Is it possible to limit view permission per page/tab in pbi?)

My main concern is that if we start creating a duplicate file for each stakeholder with unique needs, it will all get mismanaged and a complete mish-mash.

In summary:

• 1 pbix file - global reporting - should be visible to everyone within the company
• 2 premium workspaces (main and testing)
• Some stakeholders will have specific reporting needs - should I create separe duplicate reports that can be edited or is it possible to limit view permissions per page

I would like an advice on what is the smartest (most efficient thing to do)

If you have different users for different types of reports, then it is better to create multiple reports for each group of users. You can split report pages and create new custom reports based on a sharing dataset, and then republish them to powerbi service.
You can aslo keep all the pages in one report, but control the navigation. Overall, you can hide the page in the report and control the navigation to it by slicers and buttons. This way, users would be able to navigate into the pages we authorize them using a navigation table managed by row-level security.
