Hello All,
I have semantic model published from PowerBI Desktop to the Power BI Service. Now to this semantic model level, I have the option to provide permissions to others.
Now, I have a dataflow created from PowerBI service. However, for dataflows, I don't see the option to give permissions at the dataflow level. Hence the developer I want to give access to this dataflow is unable to see the dataflow in PowerBI desktop.
But If I give access to workspace where this dataflow is, then the developer is able to see the dataflow from the PowerBI Desktop.
Does anyone know the reason?
Thanks,
John

Hi @johnpjustus
the developper needs to be at least a viewer in the workspace

Thank you Amine...So there is no way we can give dataflow ONLY access from the workspace!!
Technically Dataflows are sources of truth and need to be secured therefore they should be located separately in a specific workspace
