Dataflow, developing over a large dataset

We are currently developing our data transformations in a dataflow in Service

There is a lot of data and it takes a while whenever we do anything.

Is there anyway to develop over a smaller data set and then when you publish out for it to be the full data set?

Im thinking develop in Power Query Editor in Service on a smaller data set

Develop the DAX in the data Set over a smaller data set

Publish out the full data set

Hi @DebbieE,

I think you can apply the same technique in dataflows as in the Power Query editor in PBI Desktop.
@marclelijveld has a great post about it here: https://data-marc.com/2019/05/12/top-n-to-improve-report-building/
